Cornerstone
equals
community.
As 3rd & 4th generation Currumbin families, it’s important to us that our local environment is developed mindfully and provides for those in our community.
The Cornerstone Stores project commenced in 2014 after purchasing land opposite Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The block came with an existing development approval for twenty-or-so units — we didn’t feel that was right for the area. Instead, our dream was a bespoke, mixed-use commercial precinct: red brick and concrete, solid and low-maintenance, small boutiques for young and up-and-coming creatives, great food and a bit of retail therapy.
The idea: locals and holiday-makers could find thoughtfully-curated products without having to visit a massive shopping centre — and a few of the tenants would run classes and appointments, so the precinct always has a bit of life in it.
“Locals gather, friendships are forged, and stories are shared. A rich tapestry of businesses and a warm, welcoming atmosphere — more than just a shopping destination.”
